GL Miller originally is from Tucson Arizona. He resided in numerous areas throughout the United States before his family settled in Albuquerque in 1963. During is early years, GL was captivated by the various local cultures and art expressions that developed into a love of art and design. GL's imminent future was born in his youth as he experimented with various forms of creativity.
Fueled with a natural talent and self-taught skill, GL refined his knowledge of design at the University of Albuquerque and the University of New Mexico. He majored in both commercial and fine arts. Following academic study, his creative integrity flourished as an at director for an advertising agency a commercial photographer, and creative director and design manufacturer of the Surrisi Timepieces.
Studio GL was established in 1997, is the sequel to GL Miller's diverse artistic background. GL has expressed his passion for the culture of the Southwest through his fine-tuned imaginative jewelry creations, which he has received national and international awards of recognition of his creativity. His major interest lies in designing contemporary one of a kind jewelry influenced by the ethnic Native American designs and Western geometric patterns. GL's jewelry appeals to those who delight in the uniqueness and suprise of his creations.
